Fairytales – Ages: 3.5-5

Our Fairytales class will take our little stars on an adventure with all their favorite fairytale characters from Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and friends and even some Dr. Seuss favorites too.  We work with our stars to create their characters and make them come to life on stage. And no performance at Spotlight is complete without singing and dancing. This class is perfect if your child loves music, dancing and performing. They will perform a mini showcase in the studio in December. Then they will have their big debut in May/June in a real NYC theater for friends and family to attend.

Beauty – Ages: 5-7

BEAUTY/ $2700/ Ages: 5-7/ 60 Minutes

Each week, we will focus on character development, singing, and dancing. We will have master classes taught by guest teachers who are current working professionals on Broadway. Come January, our young actors will work on staging, blocking, scene work for the big on stage performance come May/June.  We will be renting a real NYC theater for all family and friends to attend.

The Chocolate Factory – Ages: 8+

Each week, we will focus on character development, singing, and dancing. We will have master classes taught by guest teachers who are current working professionals on Broadway. Come January, our young actors will work on staging, blocking, scene work for the big on stage performance come May/June.  We will be renting a real NYC theater for all family and friends to attend.

That’s So Fetch – Ages: 10+

Improv Class – Ages 8+

Improv Class/ Ages: 8+/ 60 Minutes
Fall semester: $525 due at signing
Spring Semester: $750 due at signing or if already enrolled Auto Pay on 12/2/2024

IMPROV FALL SEMESTER:
Explore the world of improvisation! Improvisation is all about listening to your fellow performer and the golden rule of “Yes…And.” In this class, kids will learn how to think on their feet and find the humor and magic in the unexpected. There will be a performance in December to show off all their new skills.  

IMPROV SPRING SEMESTER:
In Spotlight Sketch Comedy, we will use the fundamentals of Improv to create our own small sketch show (think Saturday Night Live, Jr.). Students will conceive, write, and perform their own comedic material. We’ll focus on creating larger-than-life characters, putting them in hilarious circumstances, and learning what exactly makes something funny. Students will walk away from this class having practiced collaboration, comedy, and most importantly, having made each other laugh a lot! There will be a performance in May 2025 at real NYC theater for families and friends to attend. 

Private Pods

Thursday 5:30-6:30 (Grace PRIVATE POD) – THAT’S SO FETCH

In this class, our Spotlighters will get  the full musical theater experience with singing, dancing and acting alongside their POD friends. The beginning of the year will focus on building skills for the stage with a sneak peak in-house performance in December. From January to June our stars fine-tune their performance for the big day as they take to the stage for their big performance.
