FAIRYTALES CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Our Fairy Tales class will take our little stars on an adventure with all their Fairytale Characters, from Little Red Riding Hood, To the Three Little Pigs. Our Little Stars will perform a mashup of all their favorite fairy tales. We work with our stars to create their characters and make them come to life on stage. We guide them to this storybook performance and no performance at Spotlight is complete with our Singing and Dancing. This class is perfect for your child that loves music, dancing and performing. We will perform a mini showcase in the studio in December for family and friends to come and see.
Pete the Cat – Ages: 3.5-5

PETE THE CAT CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Animal Kingdom CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Looking for the full musical theater experience? In this class, our Spotlighters will be singing, dancing and acting in this year’s production of Animal Kingdom inspired by The Lion King. The beginning of the year will focus on building skills for the stage with a sneak peak in-house performance in December. From January to June our stars fine-tune their performance for the big day as they take to the stage for their big performance.
Each week, we will focus on Character Development, Singing, Dancing. We will have guest performances to help our young actors expand on their acting skills. Such as a vocalist for exercising the vocal cords, a dialect coach for accents, a combat coach for staging and much more.. With approximately 10 weeks of training and building skills for the stage, our young performers are now ready for their scene work, blocking and staging.. Come January our young actors will work on staging, blocking, scene work for the big on stage performance come June. We will be renting a real NYC theater for all family and friends to attend.

DRAMA CLUB CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Drama Club is for our experienced Stars, looking to broaden their experience in a more dramatic story, with a challenging script, characters and overall story that will not only give your pre-teen a glimpse to performing, but a better understanding of depth of a character, passion on the stage, and a story that is relatable to preteen life experiences.
All stories have conflict and resolution, we are giving our pre-teen young actors a chance to act with passion and with depth. To find another side of who their character can be and bring that element to the stage.

BROADWAY STARS CLASS DESCRIPTION:
This class gives our Stars the chance to learn the history of Broadway Musicals. From Hamilton , Bye Bye Birdie, West Side Story and More. For the first 4 weeks, we learn about three Broadway musicals, from short scenes, music and dance. Then the group will choose one of the three to perform and perfect in our end of season show. This class gives history of the story, a deep dive into characters, a more tailored showcase, which includes some playwriting to elevate our Broadway Stars experience. We always get our best Ideas from these group of performers.

We are a theater studio. All our classes are gearing up for a big theatrical production on a real NYC Stage. We encourage all our students to come with dance/jazz shoes or sneakers, as we are working with our students to navigate the stage with lots of movement. We encourage students to have comfortable clothes as a majority of our shows are broadway musicals.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Week 1: Trial Week for families that will trial the class, NO CHARGE.
Week 2: All classes are set and confirmed after week 2. Our whole program is gearing up for a big theatrical production. A family will need to commit by week 1, based on the schedule outlined. Please align your child’s other commitments with the schedule outlined. NO Refund offered after week 2.

⦁ Please be courteous to our neighbors, the hallways are a quiet place, let's leave the noise making for the stage.
⦁ We do art projects, and use safe products for your children. Please be sure the clothes your children are wearing are playful and comfortable, we will be moving around during classes.
⦁ We try to offer makeup classes, but due to the nature of the production we can not guarantee make-up classes. We will provide as much information and preparation as we can if your child has missed class consecutively.
