FAIRYTALES CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Our Fairytales class will take our little stars on an adventure with all their favorite fairytale characters from Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and friends and even some Dr. Seuss favorites too.  We work with our stars to create their characters and make them come to life on stage. And no performance at Spotlight is complete without singing and dancing. This class is perfect if your child loves music, dancing and performing. They will perform a mini showcase in the studio in December. Then they will have their big debut during our show weeks between 5/4/26-5/17/26 in a real NYC theater for friends and family to attend.

BEAUTY CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Looking for a full musical theater experience? In this class, our Spotlighters will be singing, dancing and acting in Spotlight Kid’s version of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. The beginning of the year will focus on building skills for the stage followed by Auditions for Casting.

Each week, we will focus on character development, singing, and dancing. We will have master classes taught by guest teachers who are current working professionals on Broadway. Come January our young actors will work on staging, blocking, scene work for the big on stage. They will have their big performance during our show weeks between 5/4/26-5/17/26 in a real NYC theater for friends and family to attend. 

THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY – Ages: 8+

THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Looking for the full musical theater experience? In this class, our Spotlighters will be singing, dancing and acting in Spotlight Kid’s interpretation of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” with an integration of newer songs from “Wonka.” In the beginning of the semester we will focus on building skills followed by auditions for casting.

Each week, we will focus on character development, singing, and dancing. We will have master classes taught by guest teachers who are current working professionals on Broadway. Come January our young actors will work on staging, blocking, scene work for the big on stage. They will have their big performance during our show weeks between 5/4/26-5/17/26 in a real NYC theater for friends and family to attend.

THAT’S SO FETCH CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Looking for the full musical theater experience? In this class, our Spotlighters will be singing, dancing and acting in Spotlight Kid’s interpretation of “MEAN GIRLS,” (more polite version) or what we like to call it, “THAT’S SO FETCH.” The beginning of the year will focus on building skills for the stage followed by the audition process for casting each role.

Each week, we will focus on character development, singing, and dancing. We will have master classes taught by guest teachers who are current working professionals on Broadway. Come January our young actors will work on staging, blocking, scene work for the big on stage. They will have their big performance during our show weeks between 5/4/26-5/17/26 in a real NYC theater for friends and family to attend.

Private POD Class Description:
Classes are for our Private PODS looking for the full musical theater experience. In this class, our Spotlighters will be singing, dancing and acting alongside their POD friends. The beginning of the year will focus on building skills for the stage with a sneak peak in-house performance in December. From January to June our stars fine-tune their performance for the big day as they take to the stage for their big performance.

Each week, we will focus on character development, singing, and dancing. We will have master classes taught by guest teachers who are current working professionals on Broadway. Come January our young actors will work on staging, blocking, scene work for the big on stage. They will have their big performance during our show weeks between 5/4/26-5/17/26 in a real NYC theater for friends and family to attend.

SLK Company Policies:

  • Please be courteous to our neighbors, the hallways are a quiet place, let’s leave the noise making for the stage.
  • We do art projects, and use safe products for your children. Please be sure the clothes your children are wearing are playful and comfortable, we will be moving around during classes.
  • We try to offer makeup classes, but due to the nature of the production, The Show Must go on, we will provide as much information and preparation as we can, if your child has missed class consecutively.  Will always make sure your child feels like a star.

Cancellation Policy:
Week 1: Processing fee of $100 will be charged if you do not move forward. 

Week 2-3: As we understand that it may take some time for your child to adjust to a new environment and to performing arts, we want to give your child the time they need to feel safe and comfortable. Your child can continue to trial with a prorated charge.

Week 4: NO REFUND, as your child has been factored into our casting and plans, NO Refund can be given.  Your card will be charged at this time. Cancellation fee; $100 will be charged if you cancel before first day of class. 

Trial Classes: 
Week 1: $60.00 Charge for all Trials. If enrolled, will go towards enrollment.

Week 2-3: If your child needs more time to Trial the class or switch to another class, prorated rate will be charged + $100 Administration fee. 

Class POD Creation:
We understand that students would love to join class together, and we can help your friend group form their own group for a day/time that is available.  It is up to SLK discretion, to add, change, modify the class as management sees fit. As each age group, show, performance has different requirements and we hope your group will respect our judgement to make the best modifications to a POD class to keep the integrity of the performance.
